Group Information: The hope for this group is to provide a safe place for individuals with OCD and their families to come together and share about their experiences and find support from professionals and others in the group. This will also be an opportunity to get professional feedback and psychoeducation to understand OCD and open the floor for discussions regarding treatment, obstacles to treatment, goal setting, ERP etc. Please call the office or email me to let me know if you plan to attend or if you have any questions.
My experience with treating OCD and OCD spectrum disorders began in a residential and intensive outpatient facility. While there, I was trained to administer CBT and ERP interventions as well as interventions from Acceptance and Commitment therapy like mindfulness and other supplemental theories such as self-compassion.
Race/Ethnicity: Hispanic or Latino/a
I offer therapy in Spanish for clients who prefer to speak in their native language. I find that many clients feel more understood and true to themselves when expressing themselves in their mother tongue.
