Narrative of Services:

Jack Jacobsen, MSW, LCSW specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of OCD, anxiety, and related conditions. He has extensive experience with OCD—about 80% of his caseload carries this diagnosis. He also has additional expertise in treating chronic tics and Tourette Syndrome.

Jack uses evidence-based approaches grounded in CBT, with a strong emphasis on Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), often enhanced by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to support long-term behavior change and values-based living. He also works with parents using Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE) and has training in Inference-Based CBT (I-CBT) for OCD.

Training Description:

Jack received his MSW from Saint Louis University in 2007. He is a graduate of the IOCDF’s Behavior Therapy Training Institute (BTTI) as well as its pediatric version, and also completed the Cognitive Behavior Institute’s intensive ERP training program. Jack regularly seeks out expert training and consultation on OCD and related conditions.

Jack has also trained extensively in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), including direct training with its developers.
