Leila Jelvani LCSW
Psychotherapist
I work with adults and adolescents struggling with anxiety, OCD, and related disorders, using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Exposure and Response Prevention to help them build meaningful, lasting change.
I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, and received advanced training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) at the University of Pennsylvania’s Center for the Treatment and Study of Anxiety.
I bring extensive experience working with diverse populations through my psychotherapy practice, serving clients across racial, ethnic, and religious backgrounds. My training emphasizes cultural humility and tailoring evidence-based therapies to each client’s values and lived experience. Having lived internationally and traveled widely, I approach cultural differences with curiosity, openness, and respect. My own bicultural identity deepens my awareness of the complexities clients may face in navigating cultural contexts. I am committed to fostering an inclusive and affirming environment that honors individuality while recognizing the broader cultural influences on identity and wellbeing.
