At River Falls Therapy, I provide evidence-based treatment for OCD, anxiety, and related disorders. I have participated in multiple trainings on Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), the gold standard for OCD treatment. Depending on a client’s needs, I may also utilize Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and/or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in my approach. I work with children, teens, adults, and parents. I have been practicing since 2016 and about half of my clients have OCD and/or an OC related disorder.
Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Health Anxiety, Social Anxiety Disorder, Agoraphobia, Emetophobia, Depression, Trauma, ADHD, Autism, Failure-to-Launch, Specific Phobias, Separation Anxiety, Chronic Pain
I have received professional training on treating OCD, body-focused repetitive behaviors, perfectionism, failure-to-launch, and anxiety disorders through the International OCD Foundation, Massachusetts General Hospital, Yale Child Study Center, Beck Institute, and the TLC foundation for BFRBs. I have received advanced training in Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions, which is a parent focused treatment for OCD and Anxiety. I am a member of the International OCD Foundation, the American Psychological Association, and the Oregon Psychological Association.
I strive to honor the strengths, practices, and lived experiences of each of my clients, their communities, and their cultural backgrounds. I recognize the barriers to mental health treatment historically faced by BIPOC. I am LGBTQ affirming.
I have completed continuing education on treating OCD in culturally and ethnically diverse populations, social and cultural factors contributing to mental health challenges, important considerations in working with LGBT clients, and more. I am committed continuously improving my own cultural competency and I welcome feedback.
