Narrative of Services:

Anxiety & OCD Solutions, LLC offers individual telehealth therapy for adults throughout Virginia, specializing in OCD, anxiety, and related disorders, including body-focused repetitive behaviors and emetophobia. Approximately 90% of my practice focuses on OCD and related disorders, and I have treated approximately 100 individuals with these concerns. Treatment integrates exposure and response prevention (ERP), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and metacognitive strategies to help clients reduce rituals and avoidance, respond differently to intrusive thoughts, and reclaim time, energy, and meaningful engagement in daily life.

Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:

I work with adults with OCD and co-occurring anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and neurodivergence, including ADHD and autism. Treatment is individualized and collaborative, integrating exposure and response prevention (ERP), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and metacognitive strategies. We identify how symptoms interact and prioritize concerns based on their impact on daily functioning. My neurodiversity-affirming approach adapts session structure, pacing, and between-session practice to clients’ sensory, attention, and executive functioning needs. Treatment emphasizes reducing compulsive responses, building psychological flexibility, and reconnecting with meaningful activities and values.

Training Description:

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia with a Master of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling from Virginia Commonwealth University. I have approximately 10 years of experience treating adults with OCD and related disorders. My ongoing professional development includes attendance at IOCDF conferences throughout the year, weekly participation in clinical consultation groups focused on OCD treatment, and staying current with OCD related readings and podcasts. My clinical work integrates exposure and response prevention (ERP), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and metacognitive approaches.

Diversity Statement:

My education in social work and rehabilitation counseling emphasized understanding individuals within their social, cultural, and environmental contexts. I approach treatment with cultural humility, exploring how clients’ identities, beliefs, family experiences, and access to resources shape their concerns and goals. My practice is neurodiversity-affirming, with attention to sensory needs, communication preferences, and executive functioning differences. I collaborate with clients to adapt treatment to their values and lived experiences while remaining attentive to my own assumptions and biases.
