I provide individual, group, and parent/caregiver psychotherapy using a CBT framework. My training encouraged mindfulness practice as a key tool to building awareness of OCD. I am collaborative and supportive in my work. I encourage hands-on practice with difficult situations and working on that together in session to build confidence to tackle life’s challenges.
I approach work using a CBT framework with particular emphasis on exposure and mindfulness-based interventions. I work collaboratively with clients to understand how multiple problems can co-occur and influence each other. Therefore, we generate goals and plans based on use session time to practice moving toward those goals together.
I received my PhD in Clinical Psychology from Southern Illinois University. I completed my pre-doctoral internship at McLean Hospital – Harvard Medical School and completed my post-doctoral fellowship at CBTeam, a specialty practice for OCD and anxiety. While at CBTeam, I founded and directed the intensive outpatient program for OCD for 5 years.
I aspire to provide a safe-space for people to explore their emotions in any way that they show up in life. Our identity intersects with all parts of our lives, including our emotional experiences. I welcome clients exploring how their identity intersects with their other life experiences and to support them in building deeper understanding of themselves.
I provide mindfulness-based cognitive therapy for OCD. The next group begins Monday 9/11/26 at 6:30 pm. https://www.keithkleincbt.com/mindfulnessbased-cognitive-therapy
