Rachel Kuchem Woodward LCSW
Over 1/3 of my clients in my private practice have some form of OCD. I can treat clients with OCD utilizing CBT and ERP and am in the process of learning how to incorporate ACT when clinically beneficial to specific clients.
I received my bachelor’s (2012) and master’s (2014) in social work, completed a 3,000 internship at a local counseling center, and became an LCSW in 2019. I started my own practice, Re-Viving Lives Counseling in 2019 and specialize in treating girls and women 11+ with OCD, anxiety, spiritual scrupulosity, depression, grief, self-harm, relationships, singleness, pornography, care for the caretaker, church hurt, and emotional support for chronic health conditions.
I am person-centered with clients to achieve their goals. I practice as a Christian counselor but respect clients of all faith/ no faith. I use a variety of methods including CBT, ERP, EFT (tapping), person-centered reflection, and some somatic visualizations. I am holistic in my treatment and refer to functional and traditional psychiatry as needed.
I have both lived experience from being treated for OCD as well as current clinical training in treating OCD.
I have had various experiences working with OCD since my 3,000 internship and in more recent years have developed through CEUS at IOCDF conferences. I currently treat girls & women 11+ in my private practice with a main specialty of OCD & religious (scrupulosity) OCD. I am BTTI certified (since spring 2024) and utilize ERP with clients. I am also in the process of ongoing learning about treating OCD with ACT and also how to holistically treat OCD with functional psychiatry.
The university program I attended for social work was very diverse and I had a variety of experiences in grad school with diversity. My private practice is very open to serving diverse populations.
