Michele Loewy MS, LMFT
About 50% of my practice is working with clients and families impacted by OCD. Though, the majority of my practice at any time is working with those impacted by Anxiety disorders.
Facilities accessible by clients of all mobility levels: Yes
I have been working with children, adults, and families impacted by OCD for over 2 years. I participate in regular consultation groups with emerging therapists who have attended BTTI and senior therapists in the field who have specialized in OCD treatment for over 20 years, and others who are members of IOCDF. I also am part of the board of the Washington IOCDF Affiliate.
Diversity Statement:
I am happy to work with people from all cultural/religious backgrounds and all gender identities and sexual orientations.
I have experience working in places where I consistently encountered diverse populations (e.g., the Emergency Department in a hospital, a community mental health agency, Child Protective Services, developmental disability services, etc.). In these capacities, I have had extensive hands on training working with diverse populations, and I have engaged in ongoing training in cultural competency throughout my professional career. I value and enjoy learning from my clients about their cultures, belief systems, families, and how their values impact them personally.
