Laura Lokers LCSW
Co-Founder of Anxiety and OCD Treatment Center of Ann Arbor and Adjunct Professor at the University of Michigan School of Social Work
I specialize in OCD and OCD related disorders across all ages. I am particularly interested in intrusive thought OCD, but am well versed in all subtypes of OCD, including Tourettic OCD/just rightness OCD. I have worked with treating OCD in specialty populations including persons with cognitive limitations and those on the ASD spectrum. Additionally I have training in habit reversal therapy and work with all body focused repetitive behaviors. Our clinic provides one of the only outpatient intensive exposure therapy programs in Michigan. In addition to individual outpatient treatment and intensive outpatient, we also run OCD specialty groups.
I received specialized training and worked as a clinician at the University of Michigan’s Anxiety Disorders Program for 10 years before co-founding the Anxiety and OCD Treatment Center of Ann Arbor. This training includes a post-graduate fellowship, mentorship, and individual supervision of advanced OCD cases. I have been completing OCD intensive treatments, running an OCD group targeting intrusive thoughts, and running treatment groups for BFRBs for the past 7 years. My research work has also focused on OCD and OCD spectrum disorders.
