My primary treatment focus for OCD and OCD related disorders is Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) , Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT )and Mindfulness techniques. Approximately 90% of my practice is treatment of OCD and OCD related disorders with a large focus on treatment of Hoarding Disorder. I have extensive experience in helping individuals cope with extremely difficult situations and emotional crises, and I am able to assist a person to access resources to address basic needs as well as work collaboratively with various providers/agencies. Currently I accept Blue Cross Blue Shield , United Health Care, Tufts, NHP and Medicare.
I received my BA and my MSW from Rhode Island College, and I am currently a member in good standing with the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF)and have completed the Behavior Therapy Training Institute (BTTI) offered through the IOCDF for both OCD and Hoarding Disorder. I worked at Brown University with the Center of Gerontology and Community Health Care, and prior to this at Butler Hospital on the Longitudinal Study of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder including work as a paraprofessional with persons diagnosed with Hoarding Disorder. I have also worked extensively in the community as an outpatient clinician at Community Care Alliance.
