Narrative of Services:
I work with adolescents and adults at a group practice, Soultality Center for Psychotherapy, that specializes in OCD and anxiety disorders. About 80% of my caseload is comprised of individuals aged 18-60 with OCD or a related disorder. Utilized ERP and ACT, I have worked with dozens of individuals with these presentations, especially individuals prone to rumination, perfectionism, mental rituals, moral OCD, health anxiety, and existential OCD. I have a particular interest in the intersection of OCD and trauma. I am also experienced working with co-occurring depression, chronic suicidality, and substance use, as well as supporting former elite athletes.
Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:
My approach is well-suited to modifying for and including adjunct treatment for other forms of anxiety, depression, complex trauma, and substance use. I earned a specialized Trauma certificate in graduate school for clinical social work. I have specific experience working with individuals with co-occurring disorders in my previous role as a Substance Use and Co-Occurring Disorders Specialist Clinician at Riverside Community Care. I am practiced in integrating person-centered psychotherapy, relational approaches, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed somatic practices into my work, depending on each individual’s unique presentation and treatment goals.
Training Description:
I have received specialized training in CBT, ERP, and ACT for OCD and anxiety disorders. I have additional advanced training in integrative treatment for substance use and co-occurring disorders, existential-humanistic psychotherapy, the Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I consult regularly with a senior therapist in the field who has completed the IOCDF’s Advanced Forum BTTI training and has earned the designation of Diplomate by the Academy of Cognitive Therapy.
Diversity Statement:
I strive to create a supportive, inclusive environment for clients with multiple intersecting identities, and I am committed to working within a cultural humility framework in my clinical work. I am comfortable acknowledging and discussing systems of power and oppression as they impact our unique experiences in the world and in the therapy room. I identify as LGBTQ.
