Narrative of Services:

My clinical practice is 100% individuals with OCD and/or OC Related conditions. I specialize in treatment of hoarding and perinatal OCD. I have expertise in treating co-occuring depression , anxiety, panic, and ADHD symptoms.

Training Description:

I have been treating OCD and related disorders for over 20 years. I completed formal specialized training in CBT including exposure and response prevention at Hofstra University, Biobehavioral Institute in New York, and a post-doctoral fellowship in OCD at Brown University. I received a career development award from NIH to get additional training in designing training programs and implementing ERP in clinical settings. I am a Scientific and Clinical Advisory Board member of the RI affiliate of the IOCDF (OCDRI).

Diversity Statement:

I have experience working with clients from multicultural backgrounds. I completed a year-long internship in the South Bronx in NY and worked with clients who struggled with severe mental illness, poverty and homelessness. My research studies have focused on adapting ERP for clinics that service low-income populations including training clinicians to be culturally sensitive. I attend at least one training per year that is focused on building my cultural competency skills.

Treatment Groups:

We offer Exposure and Response Prevention Groups both in person and virtual. Dates and times vary based on interest. For more information, see our website: https://birchviewocd.com/services/#group
