J. Scott Matthews LPC
I provide outpatient treatment for adults, with approximately 50% of my practice currently treating OCD and related spectrum disorders. Over the course of my counseling career, I’ve treated several hundred such clients. Treatment methodology involves various forms of CBT, including ERP and ACT.
I have a Masters degree in Professional Counseling from Georgia State University and have been treating clients with OCD and OCD spectrum disorders throughout the 22 years I’ve been in practice. My most recent specific training beyond extensive professional reading was attendance at the IOCDF Behavior Therapy Training Institute with the completion of required follow-up with my assigned clinical supervisor.
I work with clients from all cultural and religious backgrounds, and I specialize in work with LGBTQ clients.
My graduate program at Georgia State University included specific multicultural/diversity training, as did my internship at Positive Impact, Inc., a non-profit organization based in Atlanta, Georgia.
