Narrative of Services:

Valued Healing offers relief and treatment for people that may be experiencing mood irregularities or difficulties, constant worrying, feeling down and having low energy, experiencing avoidance, flashbacks, or difficulty processing trauma. We also offer person-centered treatment for crippling obsessions or compulsions.

Currently, 80% of the clients we see are related to OCD and/or a related disorder.

Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:

I work with each person or family to determine the best clinical route and treatment. As the name of our practice indicates, we use a valued-based approach and lens, as well as person-centered and strengths-based approaches to see what is most meaningful to each person and to provide support. As a clinician, I have lived experience in many of these areas of OCD and co-occurring conditions.

Training Description:

I have been treating OCD and co-occurring disorders for 5-7 years. My first training was in ERP and CBT. Then, I have had multiple trainings and consultation groups for ICBT and ACT in the last 3 years.

Diversity Statement:

Kristen is a native New Mexican and has worked with diverse people throughout the 20 years of social work. Kristen attended and graduated from Boston University School of Social Work with an emphasis on Clinical Social Work and every single class taken focused on racial, economic, and social justice. This is an area of strength and passion as Kristen supports people from a systems perspective.
