Mubeena Mirza, LCSW
At any given time, up to 90% of my caseload are individuals experiencing OCD and OCD related disorders. I am privileged to have been part of the successful treatment of dozens of individuals with OCD and anxiety disorders at the UCLA OCD IOP, the California OCD and Anxiety Treatment Center, and now in my own private practice.
I provide both in person and tele-health services.
I am a licensed clinical social worker with years of experience in the treatment of OCD and anxiety disorders. I was initially trained in the treatment of OCD at the UCLA OCD Intensive Outpatient Program. I have received certification in CBT from the Academy of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies. Over the years I have improved client outcomes by adopting mindfulness based practices, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, into treatment.
Informed by my own multicultural background, I strive to create a culturally sensitive and inclusive environment. As part of the assessment process I develop an understanding of each individual’s needs, circumstances, and limitations. Best practices can be utilized more effectively when a person’s individual needs are taken into consideration.
