Laura Mlynarski PhD
Clinical Psychologist
I have been fortunate to grow up and train among diverse populations. I adopt a flexible, inquisitive approach where I communicate a genuine interest in the client’s multitudes of identities and how the intersection of these identities have shaped their experiences. Furthermore, I am fluent in Spanish and have years of experience working with families with origins in Central or South America.
Licensed as a clinical psychologist and clinical social worker, I have over a decade of experience treating anxiety and depressive disorders, with a passion for treating OCD. I specialize in adolescents through young adults and employ an integrative approach with systematic Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) and Habit Reversal Training (HRT) combined with skills from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and broader Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) interventions. OCD can be debilitating but is incredibly responsive to evidence-based approaches. I will never push a patient beyond their comfort but will work with them to feel empowered and to lean into the treatment.
