I am a clinical psychologist specializing in OCD and anxiety-related disorders, with approximately 75% of my practice devoted to OCD and related disorders. I have treated approximately 50 individuals with OCD or related conditions, including in intensive outpatient program (IOP) settings. My work centers on Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), complemented by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). After completing my postdoctoral fellowship at New York Anxiety Treatment, I now practice at Elevate Psychology and Anxiety Associates, providing individual therapy for adults and adolescents.
I treat co-occurring anxiety disorders, including generalized anxiety, social anxiety, and panic disorder, as well as ADHD/ADD. Treatment begins with a comprehensive assessment to clarify how symptoms interact and which are most impairing. I then prioritize targets collaboratively, typically addressing OCD first with ERP while integrating CBT and ACT skills for other anxiety symptoms. For clients with ADHD, I incorporate practical strategies such as organization, time management, and behavioral activation to support engagement in treatment. I regularly review progress and adjust the plan, coordinating with prescribers or other providers as needed.
I earned my Psy.D. from LIU Post (2025) and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at New York Anxiety Treatment, a specialty clinic for OCD and anxiety-related disorders. There, I received ongoing supervision from a senior psychologist specializing in OCD and ERP. My training includes delivering Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) in outpatient and intensive outpatient program (IOP) settings. I have approximately 1.5 years of experience treating OCD and related disorders.
My training in cultural competency began at LIU Post, where multicultural psychology coursework and supervised work with diverse clients shaped my approach. My doctoral dissertation explored the experiences of bisexual men from the Orthodox Jewish community, deepening my understanding of how religion, culture, and sexual identity intersect. I have since served individuals of varied cultural, religious, and socioeconomic backgrounds in New York City, including in a specialty OCD clinic. I adapt ERP to each client’s values and cultural context, including how religious beliefs may shape OCD themes, and welcome clients of all backgrounds.
