Dan Neumann LICSW
I have a private practice (exclusively teletherapy) focusing on adolescents and adults with OCD and Anxiety. I have allowed enough space in my calendar to offer comprehensive, collaborative service to these individuals and their family & friends. I worked with approximately 20 individuals with these types of conditions recently, particularly while in a group practice here in Minnesota.
I graduated from UW-Madison with a Master’s in Social Work in 1984. During my career I’ve worked with all types of people, including individuals with severe phobias and OCD. I was a child protection social worker for over 20 years, helping people who were struggling with: substance use; anger management; criminal activity; child abuse & neglect; childhood and more recent trauma; poverty; homelessness; personality disorders; schizophrenia; depression; bipolar disorders; etc. And in my work as an adult mental health case manager I also helped people struggling with many different types of mental health issues.
Diversity Statement:
During my career I have provided culturally responsive services to the following populations: Somalia; Ethiopian; Latino; African American; Native American; Hmong; white/caucasian. I have attended multiple trainings/workshops focusing on these populations. In a recent employment setting and colleague (female from Puerto Rico) established a diversity council, which was well-received and is still in place.
