Narrative of Services:

Dr. Newman provides assessment and treatment for adults with a variety of anxiety, mood, stress-related, and physical concerns, as well as insomnia. Approximately 25% of her current clinical practice is focused on treatment of OCD. In addition, Dr. Newman is developing OCD treatment materials for the MindBeacon digital mental health platform. Dr. Newman provides clinical supervision to psychology trainees, and has presented workshops to students and colleagues on assessment and treatment of OCD.

Training Description:
Dr. Newman obtained her PhD in clinical psychology from Ryerson University. She completed her predoctoral clinical internship at North York General Hospital and at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, where she was involved in the launch of intensive and residential services for OCD at the Thompson Anxiety Disorders Centre. Dr. Newman has also provided individual and group therapy (CBT, ERP, ACT, and DBT) across a variety of other inpatient and outpatient hospital settings. She is dedicated to evidence based practice and regularly participates in continuing education in the areas of anxiety and OCD.
Completed a 4-day IOCDF Master Clinician Series in 2020.
