Narrative of Services:

I specialize in empirically supported treatments for OCD and related disorders. I have trained and worked, treating the OCD population, beginning in 2017.

I am currently licensed and practicing in New York and Tennessee. I run an in person OCD group in Tennessee, Virtual Groups in NY or TN – as well as providing individual therapy virtually (in New York) and in person (in Tennessee). 100% of my caseload is OCD and related disorders

Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:

I am a Cognitive-Behavioral therapist; I practice evidence-based, solution-focused treatment modalities. In addition to using the principles of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to treat depression and anxiety, I specialize in Exposure Response Prevention (ERP). I incorporate aspects of ACT (Acceptance & Commitment Therapy) and mindfulness to my ERP practice when treating severe anxiety and OCD. I approach PTSD treatment using Cognitive Processing Therapy.

Training Description:

I have trained and worked, treating the OCD, beginning in 2017. Most recently, I was the Director of the Intensive Outpatient Program for OCD & related anxiety disorders at New York Anxiety Treatment in New York, New York.

I attended graduate school at Pace University, and completed my clinical internship at The Center for Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapy in Ny, NY with Steven Phillipson, PhD. I completed my post-graduate hours at New York Anxiety Treatment under the supervision of Anna R. Edwards, PhD. and continued with the practice following my training as a fully licensed clinician and IOP Director.

Diversity Statement:

As a clinician and individual, I value being committed to continued growth, education and open-mindedness when approaching any situation. During my training at Pace University, I was able to build an understanding of the cultural context of relationships, issues and trends in multicultural and diverse society. Georgiana has had specific training in Affirmative Therapy, American Counseling Association (ACA) competences, World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) ethics, and critical mental health, medical, and professional resources for queer communities.
