Narrative of Services:

My practice specializes in evidence-based treatment for OCD, anxiety disorders, and PTSD, with a significant portion of my clinical work dedicated to individuals with OCD and related concerns. I provide individualized Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for adults experiencing a range of OCD presentations, including contamination, harm, scrupulosity, perfectionism, health-related fears, and primarily obsessional presentations. Treatment incorporates psychoeducation, structured assessment, measurement-based care, and collaboratively developed exposure work. Services are provided through telehealth, with treatment tailored to each client’s symptoms, functional impairment, and individualized goals.

Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:

When co-occurring conditions are present alongside OCD, treatment is individualized and integrated based on clinical need. OCD is treated using Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). Co-occurring anxiety disorders may also be addressed using ERP and other evidence-based CBT strategies. Tic disorders and Tourette syndrome are treated using Habit Reversal Training (HRT). Mood disorders are addressed using Behavioral Activation and CBT-based interventions. When PTSD co-occurs with OCD, Prolonged Exposure (PE) may be incorporated. Treatment is structured to address the interaction between conditions while prioritizing symptoms contributing to the greatest distress and functional impairment.

Training Description:

I am a licensed mental health counselor with over 20 years of behavioral health experience and specialized experience assessing and treating OCD. My OCD training includes intensive education and clinical training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), ongoing OCD-focused consultation, continuing education, and extensive experience delivering ERP through specialty OCD treatment settings and private practice. I have treated individuals across a broad range of OCD presentations and severity levels. My approach emphasizes evidence-based ERP, differential diagnosis, structured assessment, measurement-based care, and individualized treatment planning consistent with established standards for OCD treatment.

Diversity Statement:

I provide culturally responsive care to adults from diverse racial, ethnic, cultural, socioeconomic, religious, and linguistic backgrounds. As a bilingual clinician, I offer services in both English and Spanish and have experience working with culturally diverse populations across multiple geographic regions. I recognize that culture, language, faith, family values, and community can influence how OCD, anxiety, and trauma symptoms are experienced and expressed. Treatment is individualized to respect each client’s cultural context and values while maintaining fidelity to evidence-based practices, including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP).

Throughout more than 20 years in behavioral health, I have worked with individuals from diverse cultural, racial, ethnic, religious, socioeconomic, and linguistic backgrounds. My professional education and continuing development have included multicultural competency, ethical practice, culturally responsive assessment, and consideration of cultural factors in diagnosis and treatment. I provide therapy in English and Spanish and incorporate cultural humility into treatment planning and evidence-based interventions. I strive to understand each client’s individual values, beliefs, identity, family system, and cultural context while avoiding assumptions and collaboratively adapting treatment when clinically appropriate.
