Narrative of Services:
I am a licensed clinical social worker and therapist who provides both in-person and remote services. I work with children, adolescents, and adults and have experience supporting individuals with OCD and anxiety disorders, as well as a range of other presenting concerns. I utilize an integrative approach, combining evidence-based interventions with a person-in-environment and humanistic lens. I am particularly passionate about working with OCD, including taboo thought subtypes, and anxiety disorders. I emphasize helping individuals separate their identity from unhelpful thought patterns while building meaningful, fulfilling lives alongside uncertainty.
Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:
When working with OCD, especially when it overlaps with other presenting concerns, I prioritize a thorough assessment to ensure I have a strong understanding of symptoms and how they interact with one another. I then explore your preferences regarding what feels most life-interfering and where you would like to begin treatment. Regardless, I prioritize safety and the management of any high-risk behaviors before beginning OCD-focused treatment, and may work alongside or coordinate with other providers as needed to ensure you are receiving comprehensive treatment that meets you where you’re at.
Training Description:
I have completed intensive training in ERP and often combine this with ACT to support clients in reducing symptom interference while actively working towards their values. It is my priority to continue to grow professionally and I regularly seek out consultation and supervision from professionals in the field, as well as attending training opportunities as able. I am additionally trained in TF-CBT, CBT, and DBT, and have completed postgraduate coursework in developmental psychopathology, all of which inform the way I approach my work.
Diversity Statement:
Prior to my current position, I worked in both community mental health and medical social work, where I had the opportunity to support individuals with diverse cultural backgrounds, ages, experiences, and identities. My work emphasizes authenticity, empathy, and empowerment while prioritizing a therapeutic alliance that feels safe, collaborative, and tailored to your unique goals. I operate from a person-in-environment perspective that considers multiple factors as important ways of understanding you and tailoring treatment to your needs. Therapy is not one-size-fits-all, and I am committed to lifelong learning while maintaining the belief that you are the expert in your own life.
