My practice serves people experiencing a broad range of psychological symptoms, with a focus on the treatment of anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorders.
My approach to treatment is grounded in CBT (including ERP) and mindfulness-based interventions (including ACT). In the case of co-occurring disorders, we will work together to understand the relationship of different disorders and make an informed decision about whether or not to target one first or work on them in tandem.
I have been treating patients with OCD for over 10 years, since I was an extern at the Behavior Therapy Center of Greater Washington (BTC), which is run by a current member of the IOCDF Scientific Advisory Board. I later returned to BTC as a staff psychologist. I also worked for three years at the Capital Institute for Cognitive Therapy, which is run by a Founding Fellow of the Academy of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies. I have completed the Trichotillomania Learning Center’s Professional Training Institute in CBT for body-focused repetitive behaviors.
I run an inclusive practice where all people are welcome regardless of race, religion, ethnicity, and sexual/gender orientation.
