Courtney Rodrigue Hubscher, LMHC, NCC
Narrative of Services:
At GroundWork Counseling I work exclusively with children and adolescents utilizing an evidence-based approach to counseling.
I specialize in treating children and teens with anxiety disorders, OCD, and school refusal behavior. I provide counseling from a strength-based and solution-focused perspective, emphasizing personal resiliency and tenacity. My therapeutic approach centers on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), the most highly researched and validated method of treatment for anxiety, OCD, and emotional dysregulation.
The Center for Anxiety & OCD at GroundWork Counseling is excited to offer an OCD Support Group in Orlando (GOAL Group), that is open to current and former GroundWork clients with OCD (ages 15+). The group will be led by a client with OCD and it will be professionally supported by Courtney Rodrigue Hubscher, LMHC and Marion Plessner Rodrigue, LMHC. We plan on hosting the group on a monthly basis and the group will be held at the GroundWork Counseling offices. For more information please click here.
I have received certification in CBT/REBT after completing specialized training at the Albert Ellis Institute in New York City. I have also received specific and specialized training in cognitive behavioral treatment for OCD and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) from the International OCD Foundation’s Behavioral Therapy Training Institute (BTTI) in Houston, Texas. Less than 1% of mental health professionals in the country have received this level of specialized training for the treatment of OCD.
I am an active member of the Anxiety and Depression Association of America, the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF), and The Association for Behavioral And Cognitive Therapists.
During counseling with both children and teens I encourage all clients explore and develop new skills as we work together. I am an LGBTQ affirming counselor. I support each individual’s unique growth and self-exploration process, providing a holistic, safe space to find solutions to current challenges. I believe that effective therapy transitions the tools cultivated and practiced during sessions into a skill-set that clients can use in daily life, long after counseling has ended.
