Narrative of Services:

Maybe you’ve been to therapy before, maybe you’re wondering if you have OCD for the first time! I specialize in treating a variety of anxiety based disorders including generalized anxiety disorder, OCD, perfectionism, and trauma. I’d love to work with you to help you navigate the challenges you’re facing, to feel less anxious, and to live the life you’ve always wanted to! Therapy with me is much more than coping skills and deep breathing. Together we’ll work together to make lasting change, and to help you overcome anxiety.

Training Description:

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and received my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2014.

I am trained in, and have experience using, ERP (exposure and response prevention) as well as ICBT (Inference Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) to treat OCD. I also incorporate ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy) into all my work as I find it helps client’s identify the “why” behind making changes, and what matters most to them. I am client centered and therefore work with clients on the treatment and pace that works best for them.

Diversity Statement:

I’m comfortable working with clients of different racial or ethnic backgrounds. I recognize that your ethnicity, the way you identify, and the systems you are apart of can greatly impact you each day. I take a client centered approach, taking the time to get to know you and what is important to you as an individual. I’d love to get the chance to work with you!

As a social worker my undergraduate and graduate work largely focused on how systems function for various cultures and how to appropriately support people coming from a variety of backgrounds. In addition, I regularly receive training on diversity, cultural competency and working with diverse populations.
