Providing inclusive care for OCD and related conditions including, phobias, generalized anxiety/excessive worry, health and illness anxiety, and stress associated with life transitions.
I use an integrated CBT approach to treat OCD and co-occurring conditions. Treatment is often anchored in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) while also integrating other approaches (mindfulness techniques, acceptance strategies, skills building) to address concurrent symptoms around stress, mood, emotion regulation or attention. Ongoing assessment and collaboration is essential in tailoring treatment to individual client needs.
I am a licensed psychologist with over 20 years experience in clinical practice treating OCD and anxiety disorders. I primarily use a CBT approach (ERP) and have received extensive training in inference based CBT (iCBT) for OCD from the OCD training school as well as specialized training in emetephobia treatment. I have provided supervision and training to residents at Children’s National Medical Center and speaking engagements on topics related to anxiety treatment at the CBT Training Institute.
