15 to 20% of my practice involves individuals with OCD and/or OC related disorders. including my internship at McLean Hospital and my 30 years in private practice, I have seen hundreds of individuals with OCD and related disorders.
Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:
I treat anxiety and depression as well with a cognitive behavioral therapy approach.
Cognitive/ behavioral psychology training beginning with my PhD program at the University of Alabama, followed by clinical internship on the Cognitive/behavioral unit at McLean Hospital/Harvard Medical School. Attended the BTTI training institute In Boston in 2010. Have treated many patients with OCD and OCD related disorders. Worked in two impatient settings serving children and adolescents with a variety of disorders. Private practice for 30 years treating 5 to 10 OCD cases per week. Workshop presenter on OCD treatment with staff at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington North Carolina . Run monthly OCD support group on line.
