Narrative of Services:

Compassionate Healing Institute (CHI) is a specialty behavioral health practice with a strong focus on evidence-based treatment of OCD and related disorders. We also treat anxiety disorders, eating disorders, ARFID, tic disorders/Tourette syndrome, and body-focused repetitive behaviors. Services include ERP, CBT, ACT, SPACE parent treatment, individual and group therapy, nutritional support, and customized intensive treatment plans for individuals who benefit from increased treatment frequency and coordinated care. Our clinicians have extensive experience treating complex OCD presentations, including those with co-occurring anxiety, mood, eating, neurodevelopmental, and tic-related conditions.

Training Description:

Dr. Michael Sheffield is a licensed psychologist with specialized training and extensive clinical experience in the assessment and treatment of OCD and related disorders. He completed the IOCDF Behavior Therapy Training Institute (BTTI) and has received additional training and supervision from clinicians who are members of the IOCDF Scientific Advisory Board. He serves on the board of OCD Central and South Florida and in a leadership role with the IOCDF OCD and Eating Disorders Special Interest Group. He is also a frequent conference presenter on OCD, eating disorders, and their clinical intersection.
