OCD affects people and their families (especially if your child has OCD). I work with children and adults facing OCD-related disorders. I understand how scary and perhaps shameful it can be to share with others the rules and fears that OCD imposes on you. I use Exposure Response Prevention as a primary treatment modality for treating OCD. I further use other exposure modalities to treat other forms of anxiety, like social anxiety and various phobias.
I am a licensed clinical psychologist, specializes in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for anxiety and mood disorders. I was trained and certified by BTTI in Exposure/Response Prevention(ERP) and Habit Reversal Training (HRT), for the treatment of OCD, Tic disorder, Trichotillomania, and Other Body-Focused Repetitive Disorders. I am certified in an advanced treatment modality called TEAM-CBT. But by far, my greatest teachers have been my clients, who shared with me their vulnerability, practiced exposure courageously, and stride with commitment and determination to improve their lives.
I am fortunate to have worked with a wide variety of ethnic groups. It is my aspiration to offer my clients culturally competent treatment.
