I offer individual therapy for adults and adolescents, treating OCD and related disorders alongside other conditions such as generalized anxiety, panic disorder, PTSD, and depression. Approximately 30–50% of my caseload consists of clients being treated for OCD and/or a related disorder, reflecting a strong clinical focus and specialization in this area. My approach is rooted in evidence-based, cognitive-behavioral interventions, including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), tailored to each client’s specific diagnostic presentation and treatment goals.
When treating clients with OCD and co-occurring disorders (e.g., PTSD, other anxiety disorders), I use a sequential, collaborative approach. Together, we identify which condition is most impairing and address it first to avoid diluting treatment focus, then move to the next. I match interventions to the diagnosis being targeted, such as ERP for OCD, Prolonged Exposure for PTSD, and ACT principles woven throughout to support values-based living. As symptoms improve, I integrate treatment across conditions rather than treating them in isolation, ensuring a cohesive, whole-person approach to care.
I earned my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Baylor University, where training heavily emphasized evidence-based cognitive-behavioral interventions, including ERP. During my doctoral training, I worked in an Anxiety and OCD research lab, conducting research on the role of courage in exposure therapy. I also completed clinical training at a VA hospital, deepening my experience with evidence-based treatment for OCD and other conditions. Now practicing as a licensed psychologist, I treat OCD and related disorders while engaging in regular case consultation with experienced providers to ensure adherence to best practices in OCD treatment.
