Jami Socha, PhD
Narrative of Services:
In my practice, I specialize in treating individuals with OCD, anxiety disorders, and body-focused repetitive behaviors (BFRBs). I treat a variety of OCD subtypes, including “not just right” OCD, harm obsessions, contamination fears, intrusive “bad” thoughts, and scrupulosity. I enjoy working with individuals of all age, including young children and their families. Our clinic provides one of the only outpatient intensive exposure therapy programs in Michigan. In addition to individual outpatient treatment and intensive outpatient, we also run OCD specialty groups.
Facilities accessible by clients of all mobility levels: Yes
My specialty is treating obsessive-compulsive spectrum disorders as well as anxiety disorders broadly. I received my doctoral degree from Rosalind Franklin University where my research focused on understanding cognitive mechanisms involved in the etiology and maintenance of OCD. I completed my internship and post-doctoral clinical training at the University of Michigan, where I continued to receive specialized training in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and exposure and response prevention (ERP). I have over 8 years experience treating individuals with OCD.
