Aliza Stein PhD
I specialize in evidence-based treatments for mood, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive spectrum, and related disorders. Approximately 50% of my private practice is treating individuals with OCD. I aim to help you build a meaningful life while tackling the tough emotions that come with it. Whether engaging in long-term or short-term therapy, I meet clients where they are, tailoring my approach to their unique needs using primarily Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). My approach is centered on the client, providing validation, nonjudgmental support, and tangible tools for personal growth.
PTSD, mood disorders, anxiety disorders
I received my PhD in clinical psychology from The University of Texas at Austin and my clinical internship at McLean Hospital/Harvard Medical School. I completed my fellowship at the McLean Hospital OCD institute, where I currently work as a staff psychologist.
Creating a safe and inclusive therapeutic environment is a priority in my practice. I am dedicated to fostering open discussions around individuals’ unique values and identities, ensuring that everyone feels heard and respected. Your journey is unique, and I look forward to helping you navigate it.
