Lindsay Stewart, PhD
Narrative of Services:
Dr. Stewart is currently the Clinical Director for the Anxiety Treatment Center at Nova Southeastern University’s Psychological Services Center. She also maintains a private practice in east Fort Lauderdale. Dr. Stewart specializes in providing evidenced-based treatment for children and adults with anxiety, OCD, and related disorders (i.e., Body Focused Repetitive Behaviors, Body Dysmorphic Disorder). She provides Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Habit Reversal Therapy (HRT). Dr. Stewart also incorporates elements of Acceptance & Commitment Therapy & mindfulness. Dr. Stewart offers weekly outpatient and intensive treatment options.

Dr. Stewart received her undergraduate and master’s degrees in psychology from Tulane University and earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University (NSU). She completed her doctoral internship within NSU’s trauma program. She then completed a specialized two year post-doctoral residency in the child and adult anxiety programs at the University of Miami. Following this, Dr. Stewart worked for three years at NeuroBehavioral Institute in Weston, Florida, providing outpatient and intensive treatment of OCD.
