Narrative of Services:

Dr. Surbeck worked six years at University Health Services at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine where approximately a quarter of her patients were treated for OCD and OCD related disorders, including perfectionism and scrupulosity. She recently joined the staff of The Anxiety & Stress Disorders Institute of Maryland, and is taking new patients.

Training Description:

Dr. Surbeck has been treating people with OCD since 2004. She participated in an advanced anxiety disorders case consultation group for over 10 years, attended numerous workshops on treating OCD, and completed advanced training in treating OCD through the IOCDF Behavior Therapy Training Institute.

Diversity Statement:

Dr. Surbeck has worked with dozens of international students from various countries (Mexico, India, China, Germany, France, Russia, Spain, Netherlands, Australia, Pakistan, Taiwan, and the UAE). She’s had considerable experience working with first generation college students, and is sensitive to the challenges facing second generation immigrants.
