Shaquinta Thomas Perez, LCSW
I have treated dozens of clients with various OCD themes using both I-CBT and CBT/ERP. The age range from treatment has varied from adolescents to middle aged adults.
I have been a licensed Clinical Social Worker for the past 5 years. I began treating OCD after developing perinatal OCD after giving birth for the first time 3 years ago. I have attended the Psychiatry Academy at Massachusetts General Hospital for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy training for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, which includes Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) as well as Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD). In addition, I have received training and participate in weekly consultation for Inferential Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT) , an alternative treatment for OCD.
As I began my clinical work after the onset of perinatal OCD, I developed a keen interest and joy in working with other new parents not only with OCD, but also with perinatal depression, anxiety and grief.
