Mindfully Balanced is a specialty telehealth practice providing evidence-based treatment for adolescents and adults with OCD, anxiety, and related disorders. A significant portion of the practice is dedicated to OCD and OC-related conditions, including relationship OCD, scrupulosity, harm OCD, taboo-themed OCD, and body-focused repetitive behaviors (BFRBs). Treatment is individualized and may integrate Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Inference-Based CBT (I-CBT), and CBT. We also provide specialized treatment for anxiety disorders, PTSD, and insomnia. Services are available in English and Polish to clients in New Jersey, New York, and PsyPact-participating states.

Dr. Urbaniak is a licensed clinical psychologist with over 10 years of experience treating individuals with OCD and related disorders. She received specialized postdoctoral training in the assessment and evidence-based treatment of OCD and anxiety disorders at Stress and Anxiety Services of New Jersey and additional training at the Center for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She has completed the intensive training component of the IOCDF Behavior Therapy Training Institute (BTTI) and is currently completing the associated consultation requirements. Her OCD treatment experience includes Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), CBT, ACT, and I-CBT.
Dr. Urbaniak is committed to providing culturally responsive and individualized care to clients from diverse cultural, ethnic, religious, and socioeconomic backgrounds. As a bilingual psychologist, she provides services in both English and Polish and has experience working with immigrant and first-generation populations. She recognizes how culture, family values, faith, identity, and lived experiences can influence the presentation and treatment of OCD and related disorders. Her approach incorporates cultural humility and seeks to understand each client’s values and background while delivering evidence-based treatment. She is particularly attentive to cultural and religious considerations when treating presentations such as scrupulosity.
Dr. Urbaniak has extensive clinical experience working with individuals from diverse cultural, ethnic, religious, and socioeconomic backgrounds across clinical and community settings. She provides services in both English and Polish and has experience working with immigrant and first-generation populations. Her training and clinical work emphasize culturally responsive care and consideration of how culture, religion, family systems, identity, and lived experiences may influence symptom presentation and treatment. She incorporates cultural humility into evidence-based practice and has particular experience navigating cultural and religious factors in OCD treatment, including scrupulosity, while respecting clients’ individual values and beliefs.
