Specializing in OCD and anxiety disorders for 8 years, I opened my own private practice clinic called Care and Compassion Counseling. This clinic is just me right now, but am hoping to hire additional therapists on. I see adolescents and adults, ages 13 and up. I am also an executive board member of OCD WI.
Depression: Often time this is happening because the OCD/anxiety is so debilitating, so will wait to target this until progress is made in the OCD area. Will then target depression if it has not decreased.
Trauma/PTSD: Will most likely have to target trauma first, as OCD is often its own way to mask the trauma.
I received my Masters in Counseling from UW-Whitewater in 2015, where I started my career at Rogers Behavioral Health working as the therapist in the OCD & Anxiety Partial Hospitalization Program in Appleton, WI. There I received intense training called “CBT-University” where I learned CBT, ERP, BA, and PE. I then actively put them to use in practice since 2015.
