I am passionate about evidence-based treatment for OCD as someone who has a diagnosis of OCD myself, and has done ERP as a client. About half of my client caseload are folks seeking therapy for OCD and related disorders, with the other half of my caseload being clients seeking therapy for trauma, chronic pain/illness, and tinnitus/hyperacusis. ComB for BFRBs is a new and growing area of my professional learning and practice.
Anxiety disorders: CBT, ERP, ACT
Trauma (PTSD, C-PTSD): Cognitive Processing Therapy, EMDR, parts-work
BFRBs: Comprehensive Behavioral (ComB)
I completed my first ERP training in 2024 with the Cognitive Behavioral Institute, and completed the IOCDF’s BTTI in 2026. I engage in ongoing consultation for the treatment of OCD with approved clinical supervisors and in peer-consultation. In the fall of 2026, I joined the ICK Scrupulosity Training Institute’s first clinician cohort. I regularly attend continued education for OCD and related disorders through the IOCDF, NOCD Academy and PESI for my continued professional development.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked and volunteered in community-based programs with refugee and immigrant families. In my therapy work, I remain passionate about working with immigrant and refugee populations, and have also worked with First Nations and Metis persons. I am an approved counsellor for the First Nations Health Authority.
As a part of my personal learning, I am committed to ongoing learning in the areas of cultural safety and anti-oppressive practice. I regularly receive supervision in these areas and seek out trainings like the South Asian Mental Health training from SOCH, and the San’yas Indigenous Cultural Safety training to improve my care for clients. As part of the ICK Scrupulosity Training Institute I have been trained to work from a position of cultural responsiveness for scrupulosity.
