Lauren Weathers PhD
In her clinical practice, she uses acceptance commitment therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, exposure and response prevention, mindfulness, and self-compassion techniques.
Dr. Weathers specializes in treating anxiety disorders. She has experience treating general anxiety, phobia, obsessive compulsive disorder, and trauma. She also treats depression, insomnia, and psychological components of chronic pain.

Dr. Weathers received her doctorate in clinical psychology at the University of Mississippi. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Central Texas Veterans Healthcare System in Austin, TX. Dr. Weathers completed a specialized OCD postdoctoral fellowship where she gained extensive training treating OCD in outpatient and intensive outpatient settings.
Dr. Weathers wants her clients to feel heard and validated, and give clients the skills they need to live a life that is in line with their goals and values. Her practice serves individuals from all backgrounds, races, and cultures. Dr. Weathers practices LGBTQ+ affirming care.
During Dr. Weathers’ doctoral training, she completed coursework and trainings on working with diverse populations. Following her doctoral training, she has completed several seminars and continuing education courses to increase cultural competency and best serve her clients. Dr. Weathers strives to create psychological safety for clients and is always striving to better serve clients from all backgrounds.
