Rachel Williams, LPC
Practice Owner
- LGBTQIA+ Affirming
In my practice I focus primarily on treatment of OCD and anxiety related disorders. I welcome clients to explore other challenges that are impacting them and am equipped to support individuals in managing other conditions as awareness builds.
I have over 15 years of mental health field experience to treat a variety of co-occurring disorders. I can support individuals in managing depressive symptoms, neurodivergence, childhood or acute trauma, gender or sexual identity dysphoria and anxiety disorders such as phobias/panic/social fears. My goal is to understand each client and their unique needs and build a treatment that works for them.
I have several years of experience treating OCD and anxiety related disorders. I have completed training for Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) with the International OCD Foundation. I have prior training in ERP from local institutions in Pittsburgh, PA. I have advanced training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for the treatment of OCD and Inference Based CBT (I-CBT). I also am in progress for completion of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) to support clients that have a history of trauma.
I have extensive experience providing mental health services to diverse populations in both nonprofit and private practice settings. As a designated LGBTQIA+ affirming provider with UPMC Health Plan, I am committed to delivering inclusive, culturally responsive care. My clinical experience includes working with LGBTQIA+ individuals, members of the Orthodox Jewish community, individuals who have experienced religious trauma (Jewish, Christian, Mormon), and people from a wide range of socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds. I also have previous experience in crisis stabilization and acute mental health care.
