Sally Winston PsyD
Co-Director, Anxiety and Stress Disorders Institute of Maryland
We are a multidisciplinary group of anxiety disorder specialists who utilize evidence-based CBT, enhanced as indicated by psychopharmacological, family, and other therapies such as ACT, mindfulness meditation, and emotion-focused therapies. We utilize in vivo behavioral exposure in the office, home, or community as needed. We treat all ages. All of our work is outpatient and we have a limited capacity for individualized intensive treatment. We also provide consultation, training, and supervision to mental health providers, psychology interns, and psychiatry residents. Many of our staff have been members and active participants in the ADAA for many years (Sally Winston joined the Phobia Society in 1981 and served as the first chair of the Clinical Advisory Board of the ADAA). Many staff are members of the IOCDF as well. One staff member is a recent BTTI graduate and four other staff members have over 25 years each treating OCD and related disorders. Additionally, some of trainees are available for a low fee or no fee.
