Linda Wirth, LCSW
Narrative of Services:
I am currently in private practice in Nashville, TN. For 20 years prior, I was on the faculty in the Psychiatry Department at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where I am still on the clinical faculty. I have treated adults, children, and adolescents with OCD, Trichotillomania, and other anxiety disorders for twelve years. Approximately 70 percent of my clients suffer from anxiety disorders, primarily OCD. I also specialize in the treatment of relationship problems and depression.
I have been treating adults, youth, and children using Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) for over 10 years. I would estimate I have treated 250 OCD sufferers and their families. I received training to treat OCD from the IOCDF's Behavior Therapy Training Institute (BTTI) in 1999 while I was on the faculty in Psychiatry at Vanderbilt Medical Center and have also had specialized one-week training in the treatment of pediatric OCD. In 2001, I participated in a 5 day training at Vanderbilt on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). To continue my learning, I regularly attend the annual IOCDF Conference.
