I specialize exclusively in ERP treatment for OCD and related conditions. To date, I have treated approximately 250 individuals with OCD and related conditions.
I additionally use exposure for panic disorder, agoraphobia, other specific phobias, and (typically single-event) posttraumatic symptoms. This is supplemented with ACT/CBT as appropriate.
In 2021, I published the first peer-reviewed paper on the treatment of limerence. While the evidence base for the treatment of limerence is building, I utilize interventions that are evidence-based for OCD to meet the need for treatment of individuals presenting with limerence.
Including my pre-licensure work completed under supervision, I have provided individual psychotherapy to individuals with OCD since 2018. Since 2022, I have been treating OCD and other conditions for which exposure is an evidence-based treatment intervention, e.g., phobias, PTSD; full-time in private practice. Prior to opening my private practice, I participated in a research study with Lifespan Health System that included the provision of intensive ERP training to therapists followed by ongoing individual case consultation for the duration of the study (about one year) with a senior clinician. To supplement this initial training, I regularly engage in continuing education and have attended various trainings provided by NOCD, MGH Psychiatry Academy, OCD Training School, the Beck Institute, and Child Advocacy Training & Support Center.
Topics on working with diverse populations were included throughout my MSW program at Boston College, including one dedicated course as well as learning objectives in nearly all other courses. In addition, I must participate in anti-bias and anti-racism CEUs each licensure cycle in Massachusetts. In my private practice, I have had the opportunity and privilege to work with diverse groups across race/ethnicity, immigration status, ability status, religion, gender identity, and sexuality.
