The majority of my clients are diagnosed with OCD, and many manage co-occurring disorders like generalized anxiety, depression, phobias, and post-traumatic stress disorder. I utilize ERP to treat OCD, and I integrate other evidence-based modalities including Internal Family Systems (IFS) and trauma-informed cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to treat co-occurring disorders. I have found that these models complement each other to address both the presenting symptoms and the root causes of emotional suffering. I have advanced post-graduate training in each modality to ensure I am giving my clients the best care.
Many of my clients manage co-occuring disorders. We determine client treatment goals in the first session, and these goals guide whether we address a single disorder first or work on symptoms of multiple disorders simultaneously.
I have been treating OCD clients since 2020. I have advanced post-graduate training in exposure and response prevention (ERP) through the following sources:
– The Beck Institute
– The New Exposure Therapy: ERP training with Dr. Lisa Coyne, New England Center for OCD and Anxiety Boston PLLC, Harvard Medical School
– Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for OCD with Dr. Daniel Moran, PhD, BCBA-D
– Ongoing supervision with a senior OCD clinician
My training as a social worker emphasizes ongoing attention to identity, culture, and lived experience. I have completed continuing education in culturally responsive practice and regularly engage in self-reflection and consultation to examine my own biases. Over the course of my practice I have worked with varied racial, ethnic, socioeconomic, and religious identities. I view cultural humility as an active, lifelong commitment.
