What is #RealOCD?

Over the past couple of months, we've noticed an uptick in people using the term OCD as an adjective. While we are all experiencing an increase in anxiety during the COVID-19 pandemic, we want the general public to know that this does NOT necessarily mean they have OCD. We hope this PSA will make a difference. But we need your help!

Watch the video, and help us spread the word on FacebookTwitter, and Instagram using the hashtags #realocd and #NotAnAdjective. You can create your own post or simply share ours.

Together, we can help the public understand what OCD really looks like, help eliminate stigma, and use this opportunity to start important conversations about mental illness.

Contrary to what is often portrayed in the media, OCD is not a personality quirk, it is a very real and debilitating disorder.

For 2018 OCD Awareness Week, we shared videos from OCD sufferers, family members, friends, and treatment providers, to educate the world about #RealOCD.
