Meeting day and time: Starting Date: please email to check. The group will run for 2 months at a time, every Tuesday 2pm to 3:30pm CST. Groups will be opening frequently in order to welcome new participants.
Open To: Adults struggling with OCD, Anxiety and/or Depression who are in a stable position in their recovery journey, and would like to improve their Nutrition and Well-being with gentle and simple healthy habits. This group may not be suitable for people who struggle with Eating Disorders or BDD. Please, check with your therapist if you have any doubts about whether or not to participate in a group like this.

Nutrition & Mental Health is a new Support Group created to help and guide everyone struggling with OCD, Anxiety and\or Depression, to incorporate simple and gentle healthy Nutrition habits that can have a positive effect in their everyday lives. The group will be led by a Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach from IIN – Institute for Integrative Nutrition. One of the goals of the group is to empower people to get moving in the right direction and gain self-awareness about their Nutrition and overall well-being. The areas of focus will be Nutrition, Sleep and Managing Anxiety. This group is not aimed to replace professional therapy or to act as it. There will be no medical advice given. The group will be led as a Health Coaching Group, which involves information, tools and techniques, simple recommendations and group sharing.

As we know today from scientific research, there is a strong connection between the mind and the body, which is known as the Gut-Brain Axis, and science shows us today that what we eat has a direct impact on our mental health.

Due to the informational nature of the group, participants are encouraged to attend from the beginning in order not to miss valuable info shared in each session.
Other groups will be forming after the first one starts, so if you miss the beginning, just send an email to let us know you’re interested in joining the next group and we’ll make sure you’re on the next starting date.
