Description:
This peer-led in-person social meet up group is intended for adolescents with OCD (grades 5-9) and their caregivers in the San Diego area. Adolescents outside of grades 5-9 are still encouraged to sign up for potential expansion to other age groups.
Our goal is for preteens and teens (Grades 5 through 9) to connect in person in a low-pressure environment to build lasting friendships and step out of the OCD loop. We achieve this through park hangouts, games, art, charades and other activities of interest to the group. Simultaneously, adults have a separate but close space nearby to network, share resources and connect so no one has to go through this alone.
