Kathryn Burnett PsyD
Director, Burnett CBT
Burnett CBT provides Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for the treatment of OCD, anxiety disorders, and Body Focused Repetitive Behavior Disorders (BFRB’s). We are a fee-for-service practice offering in-person and telehealth services. Clinicians practice in all PsyPact approved states and provide limited in-person exposure services in the Washington D.C./Baltimore, MD areas. We use a range of research supported mental health treatments, including CBT, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Comprehensive Behavioral Treatment (ComB) for BFRB’s, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Our goal is to help you change your relationship with your anxiety and decrease your struggles with shame and self-doubt.
Dr. Burnett has specialized in OCD and OCD Spectrum Disorders since 2021, with 50–75% of her caseload dedicated to these conditions. She completed an APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship at WellSpan Philhaven CBT, advanced training through the Behavior Therapy Training Institute (BTTI), levels 100, 200, and 300, and Intermediate/Advanced IOCDF consultation groups on Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). She holds Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP) certification, completed the TLC Foundation’s Virtual Professional Training Institute (VPTI), and engages in ongoing education in OCD, anxiety disorders, and BFRB’s.
I strive to make ERP and evidence-based therapies available to diverse populations. My goal is to provide inclusive psychotherapy and to decrease barriers to accessing help. I offer a limited number of therapy scholarships in order to increase access to care.
