I specialize in treating OCD and related disorders (e.g., skin-picking, hair-pulling, body dysmorphia), anxiety disorders (e.g., social anxiety, phobias, generalized anxiety), and co-occurring disorders that may present in conjunction with OCD including tics and Tourette Disorder, and depression. I also have specialized training working with college populations and LGBTQ+ populations, and I offer letters of support for gender affirming care.
I prioritize the use of evidence-based treatments (e.g., CBT, ERP, ComB, CBIT, ACT) to support clients as they work toward symptom reduction and move toward flourishing.
I treat co-occuring disorders that may present alongside OCD, including anxiety disorders, depression, tics/Tourette’s, LGBTQ+ concerns, and phase of life issues.
I have two years of masters-level clinical training and five years of doctoral-level clinical training during which I worked with children, adolescents, and adults with OCD and related disorders. I also completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship focused on OCD/OCD Spectrum Disorders under the supervision of a senior provider in the field who is board certified in Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology (ABCCAP), a member of IOCDF, a senior member of OCD Central & South Florida, Affiliate of the International OCD Foundation, and a member of the Florida Psychological Association (FPA).
I identify as Black and Indigenous, and I deliver multiculturally competent services and socially-just psychological services for all of the clients that I serve. I am passionate about ensuring access to treatment and resources for undeserved and marginalized populations, and this has been evident throughout my clinical practice and research. My practice is also LGBTQ+ affirming.
My masters level training and clinical experience focused on serving low-income, racial/ethnic minority populations in an urban city (Hartford) in Connecticut. I provided in-home services, and I also provided services in schools and inpatient treatment centers.
My doctoral level training program had a rural emphasis and I served low-income and rural populations throughout my training.
My pre-doctoral internship focused on health-service psychology with an emphasis on serving Latinx and Hispanic populations, and immigrant populations.
