Narrative of Services:

I work in private clinics offering psychotherapy services addressing a range of mental health and addiction challenges. My practice includes specialized treatment for OCD and related disorders, including anxiety and mood disorders, with a focus on evidence-based approaches such as ERP, CBT, and DBT.

Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:

I provide treatment for co-occurring anxiety and mood disorders by integrating ERP with CBT, DBT-informed emotion regulation skills, and behavioral activation as needed. Treatment begins with a collaborative assessment to differentiate OCD symptoms from comorbid presentations, followed by an individualized plan that prioritizes ERP while addressing mood, avoidance patterns, and cognitive distortions. Sessions incorporate psychoeducation, skills practice, and between-session assignments to support generalization and sustained progress.

Training Description:

I have completed specialized training through the BTTI OCD Intensive Program in summer of 2025, including follow-up case consultations with a senior faculty member affiliated with BTTI and the International OCD Foundation.

Diversity Statement:

I have significant experience working with newcomer populations, including newcomers, refugees, and immigrants, often in private practice, settlement and community-based settings. My approach is trauma-informed and culturally responsive, addressing challenges such as migration stress, acculturation difficulties, and resettlement trauma. I provide therapy in English and Arabic, tailoring interventions to respect cultural values and diverse backgrounds.
